Can a broken heart cause internal bleeding?

Im completely serious. The day i knew me and my boyfriend of 3 years were most likely going to break up i was extremely worried. Then the next day we broke up and that night i had blood mixed in with my womanly stuff, and it has continued now for 4 days after the break up ...and it wasnt as a result of a period. Is it possible to be so broken hearted that you actually bleed inside?
